Welcome to my web portfolio! My name is Brad Pyne and I am currently attending Oakland University to receive a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Web development is my obsession; its application to business is my passion.
I'm 22 years old and currently attending Oakland University of Rochester, Michigan. I will be graduating in April of 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a major in Management Information Systems. I'm obsessed with the internet and development of websites. Being fascinated with both the world of business and programming has given me the ability to combine the two which compliment one another very well.
From a young age I've always had a profound interest in computers. In middle school I taught myself some programming through C++ and later while in High School, Java. In high school I was fortunate enough to obtain an internship at a software company named Creative Logic. I was able to learn a variety of skills while involved with this company. Working on a team with other developers, I was learned about everything from databases to Model-View-Controller (MVC) application architecture. It was a truly great experience and led me down the path of web development.
After Creative Logic I began making websites as a freelancer for local businesses. A short time later I became involved with an web company as a web programmer in Utica, Nudge Technologies. This experience further advanced my knowledge of online marketing and proper design methodologies. More importantly it advanced my abilities in web application development.
Advancement of my programming abilities became ever more important to me. This desire inspired me to change positions and I obtained internship with an international engineering company, Marquardt Switches. It's been a great experience and my programming ability is improving significantly.
This has all led me up to an amazing opportunity, a full time position with Quicken Loans as a .NET Developer. Ranked #1 in Detroit and 29th in the nation by Forbes as companies to work for I'm very excited to have received this offer. My plan is now to develop my programming abilities even further and learn from some of the best in the industry.
